How to get started & format template

The blog, in terms of organization and format, will likely morph along the way to suit our needs. Yet, we have to start somewhere and therefore I've set up some suggestions on format to standardize the process. My aim is to make it quick to post, easy to find, and informative to read. This post explains how to get started.

  1. Get posting rights by sending me an email: rambech@gmail.com
    • For now, only ME3 students can have posting access, although the blog is available for the public to see.
  2. Log in to the blog (me3treasures.blogspot.com) using your credentials.
  3. Click "new post"
    •  In the "Title" field, select the most appropriate in the brackets: (Book/Webpage/Article/Magazine) Review - (Title of Book, Webpage, Article or Magazine)
      • I.e. Book Review - Too Big to Fail
    • In the "Link" field, insert the link most applicable to your content. This is easy if you're reviewing webpages, blogs, articles available online, or magazines. As for books, you may want to link to the publisher, or the author's home page.
      • I.e. http://www.andrewrosssorkin.com/
    • In the "Text" field, for the sake of efficiency do make sure to answer these three questions first:
      1. What is this about? Max 5 lines overall summary.
      2. Why is it important?
      3. How did you find out about it?
      • The rest can be supplementary info, like reviews, pictures, sample quotes, etc. Go nuts, be creative!
    • Labels: Label your post with any and all key words you think apply: book, website, blog, article, engineering, energy, environment, renewables, solar, wind, buildings, clean tech, management, ethics, public speaking, investing, etc.
  4. Click preview to look at your post, and if you like it, click publish post. You're done!

Good luck and thanks for posting!
